ABOUT
ALISON HILD

I received a masters in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles in 2022, following my undergraduate degree in Human Development and a specialization in Early Childhood from Pacific Oaks College. During my graduate studies, I worked at the Center for Professional Counseling in North Hollywood, CA. During this time, I provided treatment to clients of diverse and varied economic backgrounds, sexual and gender identities, and mental health conditions.

Once becoming established in private practice, I pursued further training in trauma modalities such as EMDR therapy and Brainspotting. I have also studied EFT to support my work with couples. I completed a year long training in the Tao of Trauma, which is a somatic modality that is founded on Porges’ Polyvagal Theory, 5 Elements Theory from Traditional Chinese Medicine and the 5 Stage Threat Response Cycle from Somatic Experiencing. During my graduate studies, I specialized in Spiritual and Depth Psychology and I am trained as a mindfulness and meditation teacher. One of my favorite things about being a psychotherapist is that I am consistently learning and growing. The therapy field is always expanding and my capacity to provide a variety of treatment options helps me to feel invigorated, creative and curious about my work.

While I have worked with many different clients, I have a special interest in working with individuals or couples who are longing for a family, are growing their current family or are looking for support with the family they’ve created.

I specialize in reproductive therapy and often work with those who are struggling to conceive and/or are embarking on a new fertility journey which may include fertility treatments. This is an area I have both personal and professional experience in and I’m passionate about helping those who are going through this uniquely isolating and challenging time.

When I first opened my practice, I worked almost exclusively with children, adolescents and their parents. While I still have limited spaces available for child clients, I now consider my work with parents a cornerstone of my practice. I offer weekly parenting sessions and love to be a support for families as they navigate the many challenges that come with raising children - such as big emotional moments, behavioral struggles or everyday questions on how to respond to children as they grow.

With a background in the arts, I am passionate about working with clients who are interested in exploring identity in their personal vs. professional lives and are looking for support in a therapist who understands the unique struggles faced by high profile public figures, entertainment industry professionals and creatives. I provide affirming care to clients who identify in the queer, neurodivergent, BIPOC and kink/poly communities.
